caroline & jr: june 24, 2013

She looked in the mirror one last time.  Her eyes danced.  She was ready.

All morning she had been waiting for this moment.  The moment when she would walk down the aisle to him – only him.

With anxious steps, she smiled all the way to him.  His eyes met hers.  And he held her close.  He had been waiting all his life for this moment.

And there, in the middle of the forest – they embraced.  As they will for all their years to come.

Caroline and JR, there just are not words.  I think that’s why I had such a hard time with this post.  How on earth can I string words together that capture how grateful I am for you?  I love your hearts.  Thank you for sharing your life and your love with me.  I am forever grateful.

Caroline’s bouquet took my breath away. Nikki of Carither’s Events caught all the softness and beauty that make up Caroline and made it in bouquet form somehow…

Both Caroline and JR took a few moments from their wedding day to write their vows.

That moment…when it started to feel real.

Then it was time for them to have their first look.  There was no sneaking up on one another.  We found a secluded spot that had a natural “aisle” and Caroline walked down to him.

I love the way he looks at her…

Caroline…you are BEAUTIFUL.

I was in love with the bridesmaids’ dresses.

Moments before the ceremony, I was able to capture these moments with JR’s grandmother.  Yeah…he’s pretty incredible.  (And so is she)

Oh these groomsmen.  They had a little competition going to see who could pass out the most programs.  Which instantaneously made me adore them even more.

Okay…this reaction made my day.

This 2 headed donkey?  Most brides cover them.  But Caroline?  She had Carither’s put together two wreaths for them.  One more reason I love her…

During their first dance…another couple joined them out on the dance floor.

And the mother & son dancing moment that left me a little teary…

Moontower – y’all were AMAZING.

Sometimes during wedding receptions I spot people that I would want to be friends with.  Yes, I realize this sounds kind of weird.  But you know –  people that rock it out on the dance floor and know how to laugh and have fun.  So if any of you end up reading this – we should totally grab coffee because I already know you’re awesome.
