you.

Hi there, love…

You’re out there reading this – I know you are.  Because you promise that you read my blog.  And if it seems like you haven’t by the end of today, I will have made up some sort of excuse as to why I need you to proof it.  (If that happened, I TOTALLY just lied to you.)

This year you gave up a dream.  For us.

I know you said it was okay and that you love us and you wouldn’t have it any other way, but I know…I know that deep down inside, there’s an ache.  You wonder – will my life really matter?

Love, it does.

SO much.

You inspire everyone who knows you.  And baby, you will change this world.

I don’t know how you’ll get there, but I’m going to cheer you on every step of the way.

And because it was about time for a “we love Ted and know he’s going to change the world” initiative…well – you’re going on a trip.

Yep.

You’ve got to pack your bags.

On Monday morning you are flying out to Laguna Beach, California to attend this conference.

(Can we just take a moment to celebrate the fact that I ACTUALLY KEPT A SURPRISE!!!)

And no, I’m not kidding.  This has been booked now for approximately 3 months.  (And yes, I checked with your surgeon the day of your appendectomy and he said it was okay.)

You’ll be gone for a week and you’re going to take surfing lessons.  Yes, surfing lessons.  (Provided you still feel up to it.  You could potentially get a hernia – so I’m leaving this one up to you)  And you’ll soak up sunshine.  And think.  Grown up thoughts…  And hopefully reconnect to the next steps in changing the world.  And make new friends.

So…you should obviously stop reading this and start packing.  You fly out early Monday morning…

I love you.  And oh how I believe in you, love.

Finally – I was going to have this post on Friday, but because of the way this month has gone, I couldn’t last another day.  And…I may need a chance to go grocery shopping by myself before you go…

(PS: For all you other amazing people reading…I’d love for you to join in with me by leaving my amazing husband a little hurrah and we believe in you in the comments section!  Let’s give him some love!)
